“Operation Sindoor was our answer to the desecration of sacred sindoor in Pahalgam” : Vinod Bansal
New Delhi : Lord Hanuman had adorned his entire body with sindoor (vermilion) because it was most dear to Goddess Sita, who wore it as a symbol of her marital status. In India, countless brave women have laid down their lives or even committed jauhar to protect this sacred symbol. On April 22, this very sindoor—a representation not just of cosmetics, but of Indian culture, pride, and womanhood—was desecrated by Islamic jihadi terrorists in Pahalgam.
Addressing the gathering at the 151st Hanuman Chalisa Mahotsav at Shri Radha Krishna Temple (Rathwala), North Delhi, Vinod Bansal, National Spokesperson of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), saluted the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces and stated,
“The sindoor that Lord Hanuman revered was desecrated before the eyes of married women in Pahalgam. Our government and armed forces gave a fitting and courageous response through ‘Operation Sindoor’, taking rightful revenge for the sacrilege.”
Bansal added that the message to the world is clear—no jihadist monster, who dares to trample on the dignity and honor of Indian women, will be spared, no matter where they hide.
The devotees present at the event also celebrated the day as Indian Army Victory Day, paying tribute to the valor of the armed forces and expressing gratitude for the nation’s powerful leadership.
On this occasion, Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta also saluted the courage and valor of the three branches of the Indian Armed Forces involved in Operation Sindoor.
Also present at the event were temple head Mr. Vinod Singhal, Mr. Sohanlal Arya from Arya Samaj Mandir, and Mrs. Nupur, North Delhi Coordinator of Durga Vahini, along with hundreds of women, men, and children.
