Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ to Release on YouTube on August 1

Mumbai : In a bold and unprecedented move, Aamir Khan has announced that his latest film Sitare Zameen Par will release on YouTube Movies-on-Demand on August 1, right after its theatrical run. This initiative aims to make premium cinema affordable and accessible globally. The emotional family drama, starring Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh, and 10 actors with intellectual disabilities, will be available in India for ₹100 and at local pricing in 38 countries. The film includes subtitles and dubbing in major languages.

Calling it a dream come true, Aamir said, “This step makes cinema accessible to everyone, anytime, anywhere.” YouTube India MD Gunjan Soni called it a landmark moment, giving Indian cinema a global digital stage.
