Advertising Legend Piyush Pandey Passes Away at 70

Mumbai : Renowned advertising icon Piyush Pandey passed away at the age of 70 in Mumbai. Pandey, who created the famous political slogan “Abki Baar Modi Sarkar” and composed the patriotic song “Mile Sur Mera Tumhara,” left behind an unmatched legacy in the Indian advertising world.
The news of his demise was confirmed by Suhail Seth through a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Born in 1955 in Jaipur, Piyush Pandey came from a talented family. His brother Prasoon Pandey is a well-known film director, while his sister Ila Arun is a celebrated singer and actress. Their father worked in a bank.
Before making his mark in advertising, Piyush Pandey also had a passion for cricket, which he played for several years.
Pandey, often hailed as India’s “Ad Guru,” transformed the landscape of Indian advertising with his creative genius, emotional storytelling, and culturally rooted campaigns that connected deeply with audiences across the nation.
