Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan Holds ‘Chaupal Discussion’ with Farmers in Rampur
New Delhi : In Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan engaged in a ‘Chaupal Discussion’ with farmers. He announced the removal of the ban on rice exports and the abolition of the minimum export price. The minister shared that modern technology will be promoted for soil health testing, enabling farmers to receive test reports within 15 minutes. He listened to farmers’ concerns and instructed scientists to focus on improved crop varieties and the balanced use of pesticides. Shivraj Singh Chauhan also stated that he will spend two days each week in the fields among farmers to understand their issues and needs better and to formulate policies accordingly.
This initiative marks a significant step towards promoting farmer welfare, development, and effective communication.
