Air India Plane Carrying 242 Passengers Crashes in Ahmedabad, Amit Shah Speaks to Officials

Ahmedabad (Gujrat) :  A major aviation tragedy has occurred in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where an Air India aircraft carrying 242 passengers has crashed. The Gujarat State Police Control Room has officially confirmed the incident. Upon receiving news of the crash, emergency services and rescue teams rushed to the site.

A large plume of smoke was seen rising in the sky following the accident. According to media reports, the aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad Airport. Fire brigades have reached the scene, and rescue operations are currently underway. Reports suggest that the flight was en route to London and crashed in a residential area, raising fears of significant casualties.

Given the seriousness of the incident, Union Home Minister Amit Shah immediately spoke with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the State Home Minister, and the Ahmedabad Police Commissioner. Shah assured full support from the central government and emphasized that no efforts would be spared in rescue and relief operations.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, while rescue teams continue to search for survivors and provide assistance. Hospitals have been put on high alert, and arrangements have been made to administer emergency medical aid to the injured.

Both government and private agencies are actively involved in relief efforts, and senior officials from Air India are closely monitoring the situation. The Prime Minister’s Office is also said to be keeping a close watch on developments.
