Aishwarya Rai Wins Best Actress Award at SIMMA 2024

Dubai: At the SIMMA 2024 Awards ceremony in Dubai, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dazzled in a black and gold gown, while her daughter, Aaradhya, appeared in a silver and black shimmery outfit. The duo made a stylish entrance on the red carpet, with Aishwarya holding Aaradhya’s hand. They posed together for photos and even shared a sweet kiss, capturing the attention of the audience. At SIMMA 2024, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was honored with the Best Actress (Critics’ Choice) Award for her performance in the film Ponniyin Selvan: 2. The award was presented to her by producer Kabir Khan. Aaradhya, filled with joy, proudly captured the moment on her phone as her mother received the award.

After receiving the award, Aishwarya expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am extremely thankful to SIMMA for this honor. This award holds great significance for me because Ponniyin Selvan is a film very close to my heart. It was directed by my mentor, Mani Ratnam, and this recognition is a testament to the hard work of the entire team.”

In Ponniyin Selvan: 2, Aishwarya played dual roles as Nandini and Mandakini Devi. The film, based on a Tamil novel, also featured stars like Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Jayaram, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman, and R. Parthiban in pivotal roles.
