Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota Launches ‘Mission 500’ to Promote New Spiritual Voices
Mumbai: Padma Shri awardee and Bhajan legend Anup Jalota has launched his new music label @officialanupjalota on YouTube, with a heartfelt mission to mentor and promote 500 new devotional singers across India. The initiative kicked off with the release of the bhajan “Mere Krishna,” now available on all major streaming platforms. Speaking at the launch, Jalota said, “After singing for 63 years and performing over 7,000 concerts, I now want to give back by nurturing voices that will carry forward India’s spiritual and cultural legacy.” Singer Karishma Bachhav, trained by Jalota, described the experience as life-changing. The music video, shot in a Vrindavan-like setting in Assam, was directed by Ajay and Sanjukta Jain. Maharashtra MLA Santosh Sambre praised the initiative, calling it a powerful step towards preserving Sanatan Dharma and Indian culture.
More than a label, Mission 500 aims to be a global movement in devotional music.
