Achieved 97% waste segregation in Tarahunise village.
-
In Mumbai, the ‘Living with Leopards’ initiative promotes human-leopard coexistence.
-
350+ volunteers have contributed to projects like medicinal herb gardens and nature trails.
-
Upskilling and economic empowerment initiatives for women have been ongoing across both locations.
“Real estate is central to both India’s climate challenge and opportunity,” said Virwani. “‘WeWork India for Impact’ shows that businesses can drive both ecological restoration and social impact.” Pednekkar lauded the initiative, stating, “True sustainability lies in integrating climate solutions into how we live and work. WeWork India is setting an example.”
The summit also hosted industry leaders from CBRE, DLF, Infosys, Max Estates, and more, with discussions on greenwashing, carbon emissions in real estate, and climate finance. WeWork India aims to source 100% renewable energy and divert 90% of waste from landfills by 2027, reinforcing its commitment to regenerative growth and climate resilience.
