Bikaner’s women will turn Prime Minister Modi’s vision into reality: Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal

Bikaner (Rajasthan) :  The National Rural Livelihood Mission and Flipkart have joined hands to bring a transformative change to the lives of women entrepreneurs from Self-Help Groups in Bikaner. Through this partnership, products crafted by these talented women will be showcased and sold on Flipkart’s online marketplace, enabling them to reach customers across the country. A workshop was organized on Monday to train and empower the women in leveraging technology for this initiative.

During the programme held at the District Council Auditorium, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, said that the time has come to make women self-reliant and to fulfil Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of turning them into Lakhpati Didis. This is the moment — the right moment, he emphasized. Encouraging the women in the local language, Shri Meghwal said, Dream big and make those dreams a reality. Citing the example of former President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, he noted that he dreamt big and turned his vision into reality. Every person should have a dream. How and when it is achieved depends on your hard work, he added.

Highlighting the examples of several women from Self-Help Groups present at the workshop, the Minister said these women are weaving their dreams and turning them into reality. Shri Meghwal praised Flipkart, saying, Today, the company has come to the land of Bikaner and will sell local products across the country. There can be no greater moment of pride for Bikaner than this.

In his message, Rajnish Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Flipkart Group, said that through Flipkart Samarth, the aim is to create new avenues of growth by providing businesses with the knowledge, tools, and market access they need to thrive in the digital economy. By empowering more than 18 lakh livelihoods across the country, this program has enabled artisans and rural women entrepreneurs to move forward. He added that the successful conclusion of today’s workshop in Bikaner underscores Flipkart’s continued commitment to strengthening MSMEs and artisans across India. The company is grateful for this collaboration and looks forward to carrying this momentum forward to further strengthen the MSME ecosystem in Bikaner and beyond.
During the workshop, the Flipkart team provided technical training to women from Self-Help Groups. Women entrepreneurs also shared their experiences. The National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) is a government initiative dedicated to reducing rural poverty and promoting sustainable livelihoods for India’s rural population.
