Bomb Threats at Several Delhi Schools, Police on High Alert, Campuses Evacuated

New Delhi : Several prominent schools in the national capital received bomb threats via email on Monday morning, triggering panic and a swift response from authorities. Following the threats, the schools were immediately evacuated and police launched an intensive security sweep across the premises.

The schools that reportedly received the threats include Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Modern Convent School, and Shri Ram World School (Sector 10, Dwarka).

Teams from the Delhi Police, Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad, and Delhi Fire Services rushed to the sites and carried out thorough checks. A senior police officer said, “As a precautionary measure, all students and staff have been safely evacuated. The search operation is ongoing.”

A senior fire department official confirmed that multiple teams were deployed immediately after receiving the alert. “The search operations are underway and no possibility is being overlooked,” the official added.

This fresh threat comes amid a series of similar incidents in recent months. On July 18, more than 50 schools across Delhi reported receiving bomb threat emails on the same morning, leading to mass evacuations. Schools such as St. Xavier’s (Civil Lines), Richmond Global School (Paschim Vihar), Abhinav Public School (Rohini), and The Sovereign School (Rohini) were among those affected.

The spate of threats has heightened anxiety among parents and students alike. Police have assured that every incident is being thoroughly investigated and strict security measures are being maintained to prevent any untoward situation.
