Bumrah’s ‘Magic’ Mood: The Field Hero’s Playful Avatar

Mumbai : Known for his lethal yorkers and calm demeanor on the cricket field, Jasprit Bumrah has revealed a completely different side of his personality. Usually seen as composed and serious, Bumrah appears in a playful, witty, and carefree avatar in the latest campaign for Sunfeast Yippee!.
The campaign focuses on the brand’s iconic Magic Masala variant and has been conceptualized by creative agency Ogilvy. In the film, Bumrah is seen fully immersed in enjoying a bowl of Yippee! noodles, as if the world around him has momentarily faded away. Lost in the bold and familiar flavors of Magic Masala, he brings alive the idea that the best food moments are the ones you experience without hesitation — “Eat like no one’s watching.”
Sharing his experience of being part of the campaign, Bumrah said, “What I loved most about this film is how real it feels. Off the field, I got the chance to just be myself. No acting — just enjoying my favorite Yippee! noodles in the way I truly like.” Suresh Chand from ITC Limited’s Foods Business added, “Yippee! has always believed that food should be fun and full of flavor. There were no rules in this campaign. Bumrah was completely at ease and brought out a fun, foodie side of himself that we haven’t seen before.”
The film celebrates everyday authenticity. There’s no pretense, no styling pressure — just the pure joy of taste. As an Ogilvy spokesperson shared, “The idea was simple — show Bumrah in an unfiltered way, enjoying Yippee! Magic Masala. No rules, no styling — just genuine enjoyment of his favorite food.”
Precise and disciplined on the field, Bumrah appears completely free here. And perhaps that’s the campaign’s real victory — when the flavor is right, hesitation simply disappears.
