BVG India’s Eco-Resort Takes Shape in Dudhwa

Mumbai : Uttar Pradesh has taken a significant step towards promoting environmentally sensitive tourism by partnering with BVG India to develop an eco-tourism hub at Dudhwa National Park. In the Chandan Chowki area of Lakhimpur Kheri district, the Uttar Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board and BVG India are jointly creating a tourism infrastructure that gives equal importance to nature conservation and local development.
At the heart of this initiative is the BVG India Resort, an eco-friendly property spread across nearly five acres, which is scheduled to become fully operational by March 2026. Designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding forest landscape, the resort will offer modern hospitality amenities while promoting wellness, local culture, and immersive nature experiences. Facilities will include accommodation options, dining services, recreational activities, and spaces for small conferences and social gatherings.
A key highlight of the project is strong community participation. Dedicated areas for Tharu tribal handicrafts and organic gardening zones will not only empower local artisans—especially women—but also connect visitors with rural life and sustainable practices.
Located along the India–Nepal border, Dudhwa National Park is internationally recognized for its rich biodiversity and its role under Project Tiger conservation efforts. Against this backdrop, the eco-tourism initiative is poised to emerge as a landmark example of responsible and sustainable tourism, positioning Dudhwa as a model destination that harmonizes ecology, culture, and conscious travel.
