CM Yogi Performs Rudrabhishek, Prays for Public Welfare on Sawan Shivratri

Gorakhpur: On the auspicious occasion of Sawan Shivratri, which falls on the Krishna Paksha Chaturdashi of the holy month of Sawan, Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed Rudrabhishek at the ancient Manasrovar Temple located in Andhiyari Bagh, Gorakhpur. During the ceremony, he prayed to Lord Shiva for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Uttar Pradesh.

At the sacred temple, CM Yogi offered Bilva leaves, lotus flowers, durva grass, and various other puja materials to Lord Mahadev, followed by Rudrabhishek performed with water, cow milk, and sugarcane juice. The Vedic rituals were conducted by the scholars and priests from Gorakhnath Temple, who chanted the powerful mantras of Rudrashtadhyayi from the Shukla Yajurveda Samhita.

After the Rudrabhishek, the Chief Minister completed the ritual with a Vedic fire ceremony (havan) and aarti, offering prayers for a healthy, prosperous, peaceful, and harmonious life for the people.

Prominent personalities present during the occasion included Yogi Kamalnath (Chief Priest of Gorakhnath Temple), MP Ravi Kishan Shukla, Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, MLA Vipin Singh, and MLC Dr. Dharmendra Singh.
