Coordination meeting with PGCIL and Power department held

Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh) : A coordination meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Tawang,Kanki Darang was held in his office chamber. The coordination meeting with PGCIL and Power Departments was attended by Chief Engineer,Transmission monitoring & planning, T K Tara, Senior officers from Deptt of Power and Power Grid Corporation.
In the meeting the latest progress and problems being faced in construction of 132 KV transmission line from Bomdila to Tawang and Lungla were discussed.
The house also discussed on operation of the newly commissioned 7.5 MW Kangteng SHEP in isolation, so that Tawang could get uninterrupted power supply even if the grid line develops any fault. The Managing

Director, of Kangteng SHEP assured to do the required modifications to run the Kangteng SHEP in isolation as and when required for the district.
The Chief Engineer, Transmission planing & monitoring also discussed with DC on LT lines within township and need for making it underground for better and safe transmission of power supply, this would also do away with the odd looking jumbled wires over beautiful township he added.
The Chief Engineer along with officers of DoP & PGCIL later visited the under construction site of 132/33 KV EHV sub-station at Tawang and instructed the construction agencies for timely completion of the project to mitigate the power supply problem in the district.
