Delhi High Court Allows Priya Sachdev Kapur’s Plea to Remove Mandhira Kapur’s Appearance from Court Order

New Delhi: The Hon’ble Delhi High Court today allowed an application filed by Ms. Priya Sachdev Kapur, seeking rectification of the Court’s previous order dated September 10, 2025, which had incorrectly recorded the appearance of Ms. Mandhira Kapur, sister of the late Sunjay Kapur.
The matter was heard by Hon’ble Ms. Justice Jyoti Singh. In her application, Ms. Priya Sachdev Kapur alleged that the inclusion of Ms. Mandhira Kapur’s appearance was an attempt to gain “back door entry” into the ongoing legal proceedings concerning her late brother’s estate, despite Mandhira not being a party to the current litigation.
The application emphasized that the previous order wrongly reflected the presence of counsels for Ms. Mandhira Kapur, even though she had no standing in the matter. After considering the submissions from both sides, the Hon’ble Court accepted the rectification request and directed the deletion of Ms. Mandhira Kapur’s and her counsels’ names from the order.
Ms. Priya Sachdev Kapur (Defendant No. 1) was represented by Senior Advocates Mr. Rajiv Nayar and Ms. Shyel Trehan, briefed by Bahuguna Law Associates. The legal team included Ms. Meghna Mishra (Senior Partner), Mr. Ankit Rajgarhia (Partner Designate), Mr. Tarun Sharma (Principal Associate), and Mr. Rohit Kumar (Associate).
