Dense Fog Disrupts Flight Operations at Delhi and Northern Airports: IndiGo

New Delhi : Low visibility conditions caused by dense fog, falling below operational minima, have severely impacted flight operations at Delhi and several other airports across northern India. The situation, which is beyond the control of airlines, has led to widespread disruptions in air traffic.

In a statement, an IndiGo spokesperson said that airline teams are closely monitoring weather conditions and are in constant coordination with Delhi airport authorities, strictly following established safety protocols.

“As operations are adjusted in view of prevailing weather conditions, some flights may face delays, while a few others may be proactively cancelled during the day to prioritise passenger safety and minimise prolonged waiting times at airports,” the spokesperson said.

IndiGo has issued advisories to passengers and is proactively informing them to reduce inconvenience. Travellers have been advised to regularly check their flight status through the airline’s website or mobile application, as consequential delays may also occur.

The airline assured that its ground and customer service teams remain available to assist passengers at every stage of their journey and provide continued support during the disruptions.
