Dhanvantari Jayanti Celebrations to be Held in Delhi
New Delhi : As every year, this year too, the Integrated Medical Association (IMA AYUSH) will celebrate Dhanvantari Jayanti at the NDMC Auditorium, Janpath, Delhi, on Sunday, 12 October 2025, from 5 PM onwards.Dr. Ramphal Panchal, spokesperson for IMA AYUSH, stated that the ceremony will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Mayor of Delhi, Shri Raja Iqbal Singh. The Chief Guest of the event will be Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, and the chairperson of the program will be Dr. M. B. Gaud, Director of Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Charak Institute, Delhi. Dr. P. K. Prajapati, Director of the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), will also attend the event as a distinguished guest.
Other notable attendees include Dr. K. D. Pathak (Chief Reporter, Dainik Veer Arjun), Shri K. K. Sharma (Managing Director, Emil Pharmaceutical), and Dr. Rajshri Singh (Police Commissioner, Jhajjar, Haryana).Dr. Panchal added that the Dhanvantari Award will be presented to Dr. Bhima Bhatt and Prof. (Hakim) Mohammad Mazahir Alam for their outstanding contributions to the field of Ayurveda. Additionally, Sushruta and Charak Awards will be conferred for excellence in Ayurvedic medicine, and the Dr. J. S. Panwar Memorial and Dr. Hari Shankar Dev Sharma Memorial Awards will be given for distinguished service to the organization.Dr. Panchal stated that the association has been organizing the Dhanvantari Jayanti celebrations for the past 40 years and has been actively collaborating with the Government of India in the promotion and development of Indian medical systems, which eventually led to the establishment of a separate AYUSH Ministry.
He further added that IMA AYUSH is a non-governmental organization actively engaged in social work. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, its medical professionals continued to serve selflessly. The association also encourages students by awarding those who secure the first rank in Ayurvedic and Unani colleges each year.
