Distribute Medicines as per Mobile Unit Route Chart: Governor Patel

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Governor Mangubhai Patel has emphasized that the medicines distributed by Mobile Medical Units must strictly follow the prescribed route chart. He said that the quantity of medicine given to each patient should be determined based on their requirement and the interval before the unit’s next visit, ensuring uninterrupted availability of essential medicines.
Governor Patel gave these directions on Friday during a review meeting of the PM Janman Scheme’s Tribal Cell at Lok Bhavan. Senior officials of the Tribal Affairs Department and Tribal Cell Chairman Deepak Khandekar were present.
The Governor stressed that electricity connections must be ensured in all houses allotted under the Janman Scheme. He instructed officials to collect house-wise data and identify those lacking electricity connections so that timely arrangements can be made. Officials informed the Governor that over 9.52 lakh patients have been registered under the Mobile Medical Unit of the Public Health and Family Welfare Department. These include 4,75,375 PVTG beneficiaries and 4,76,647 others. The units have conducted 95,360 sickle cell screenings, 15,811 TB screenings, and diagnostic tests for over 7 lakh patients.
It was also reported that the PM Janman Scheme, part of the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan, is being implemented in 24 districts of the state from 2023–24 to 2025–26. The scheme benefits more than 13.43 lakh PVTG individuals living in over 6,000 habitations. Seven beneficiary-driven schemes under the campaign—Aadhaar card, Jan Dhan account, Ayushman Bharat, caste certificate, Kisan Credit Card, PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, and ration card—have achieved saturation. A total of 1,30,521 PM Awas houses have been completed.
The Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam is currently operating 147 group water supply schemes, and under the Janman programme, work on group schemes in Anuppur and Balaghat has been completed. Six schemes in Datia, Katni, Seoni, and Umaria districts are nearing completion, while other works are progressing within deadlines.
Progress on Har Ghar Nal se Jal, multipurpose centres, anganwadi buildings, hostels, PM Gram Sadak Yojana, Har Ghar Bijli, Har Ghar Bijli – Off Grid, Van Dhan Vikas Kendras, and mobile network infrastructure was also reviewed.
Governor’s Principal Secretary Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari, Principal Secretary of Tribal Affairs Gulshan Bamra, Commissioner Satendra Singh, Additional Secretary to the Governor Umashankar Bhargav, and other officials were present at the meeting.
