District Administration Tawang Organizes 4th ‘Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0’ Camp at Seru Village

Seru (Arunachal Pradesh) :  The district administration of Tawang successfully organized the 4th ‘Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0’ Camp at the Government Secondary School in Seru village, reaffirming its commitment to delivering essential government services directly to citizens at their doorstep.

The camp was attended by Deputy Commissioner Namgyal Angmo, IAS, who served as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present included Assistant Commissioners Tenzin Jambey and Sangey Wangmu Mosobi, JMFC Tawang Bompi Gapak, District Medical Officer Dr. Thupten Lhamu, District Horticulture Officer Koncho Gyatso, CDPO Dondup Pema, Gaon Burah of Seru Muchut Ngawang Thinlay, PRI members, and heads of various government departments.

During the camp, villagers were sensitized about several government welfare schemes, with particular emphasis on the installation and benefits of Smart Electricity Meters. A free medical check-up camp was also organized for residents, while a Jan Sunvai (public hearing) provided an open platform for villagers to directly present their concerns and grievances before the district administration.

As part of the outreach initiative, the Horticulture and Agriculture Departments distributed hybrid vegetable seeds to villagers. Meanwhile, the Education Department provided science and sports kits to the Government Secondary School, Seru, to promote both academic learning and extracurricular development.

A total of 123 villagers from Seru, Muchut, Gormang, Nodo, Shazing, Kangteng, Teli and nearby hamlets benefited from the camp. The initiative reflects the district administration’s continued focus on last-mile service delivery, responsive governance and stronger community engagement.

Following the camp, Deputy Commissioner Namgyal Angmo visited the Health and Wellness Centre in Seru and inspected a boundary wall constructed to protect agricultural fields from wild animals. The wall was developed in phases between 2020 and 2024 under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and now safeguards agricultural land across six villages in the area.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied during the visit by Assistant Commissioner-cum-Deputy Director (Rural Development) Tenzin Jambey, DMO Dr. Thupten Lhamu, BDO Lobsang Choidar, and officials from the Health and Rural Development Departments of Tawang.
