Dr. Ajay Bansal Meets Nepalese Ambassador Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma in New Delhi

New Delhi :  Renowned social worker and entrepreneur Dr. Ajay Bansal paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Nepal’s Ambassador to India, at the Embassy on Friday. During the meeting, both sides engaged in discussions focused on social concerns and regional development.

Speaking about the meeting, Dr. Bansal shared that a significant population in Delhi’s Burari and Rohini areas, where he actively works, adheres to Nepalese culture. “India and Nepal share a centuries-old bond of ‘roti-beti’ (bread and daughter), symbolizing deep cultural and familial ties,” he noted. He also mentioned an upcoming event at the Nepal Embassy next week, which will give Delhi residents an opportunity to explore Nepal’s social and cultural activities more closely.

Dr. Bansal appreciated the historical and cultural relations between Nepal and India, emphasizing the warmth and mutual trust that form the foundation of bilateral ties. “These relations are growing stronger by the day,” he said, adding that he is associated with several social organizations in the area that have strong links with Nepal.

Nepal’s Ambassador Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma appreciated Dr. Bansal’s ongoing social work in Delhi and remarked that such citizen-level engagement and dialogue can further strengthen the relationship between the two nations. He also discussed the potential for joint social initiatives between India and Nepal.

This interaction is seen as a meaningful step toward enhancing people-to-people contact and mutual cooperation between India and Nepal.
