Holi 2025 : Celebrated with Grandeur in Jaipur, Foreign Tourists Join the Festivities

Jaipur (Rajasthan): The festival of Holi was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Jaipur, with both locals and foreign tourists immersing themselves in vibrant colors. On the occasion of Dhulandi, people smeared each other with colorful gulal, exchanging festive greetings. The streets of the Pink City were filled with hues of red, yellow, and blue as people joyfully played with colors.

From early morning, children armed with pichkaris (water guns) came out to drench each other with colored water. Traditional Holi songs echoed through the city, with people dancing to popular tracks like “Rang Barse,” “Holi Ke Din Dil Mil Jaate Hain,” and “Holi Khelt Raghubeera Avadh Mein.” Homes were filled with the aroma of festive delicacies like gujiya and other traditional sweets, which were shared with visiting friends and family.

Groups of revelers roamed the city, singing Holi folk songs while playing chang and dholak, adding to the celebratory spirit. Both young and old, men and women, were seen drenched in different shades of colors, fully immersed in the joyous atmosphere.

Foreign Tourists Experience the Magic of Holi

The Rajasthan Tourism Department organized a special Holi festival for tourists at Khalsa Kothi, where a large number of foreign guests participated. They got a chance to witness Indian Holi traditions up close and be part of the celebrations. Unlike the usual gulal, tourists played Holi with flowers, offering them a unique and eco-friendly experience.

The event also featured mesmerizing performances by Rajasthani folk artists, including Gair dance, Chang Vadak, Kalbelia, and Ghoomar, which added more charm to the celebrations. The sound of dhol and nagadas filled the air, prompting tourists to dance to the beats of Rajasthani Holi songs.

Officials from the Rajasthan Tourism Department stated that such events are organized annually to introduce foreign tourists to Indian festivals and culture. This initiative helps promote tourism and upholds India’s “Atithi Devo Bhava” tradition, making visitors feel welcome.

Holi Joy with Sweets, Colors, and Music

The Holi celebrations were incomplete without the delicious flavors of gujiya, thandai, dahi bhalla, and malpua, which people relished while exchanging festive greetings. Jaipur’s clubs, resorts, and various Holi festivals hosted grand celebrations, where people danced to DJ music, live bands, and folk performances. The vibrant splashes of colors, water showers, and rhythmic beats of the dhol created an electrifying atmosphere.

This year, many celebrations emphasized eco-friendly Holi, with a focus on using herbal gulal and flower petals while promoting water conservation. Several places opted for dry Holi, ensuring a sustainable and environment-friendly celebration.
