INDIA Alliance’s ‘Voter Rights Yatra’ Reaches Patna, Rahul and Tejashwi Lash Out at Government

Patna (Bihar): The ongoing ‘Voter Rights Yatra’ of the INDIA alliance reached its final stage in Patna on Monday. At this crucial juncture, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav launched sharp attacks on both the central and state governments.

Addressing the gathering, Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP and the Election Commission of “vote theft.” He said, “In Maharashtra, elections were stolen from the NCP, Congress, and Shiv Sena. Nearly 10 million new voters are added to the electoral roll after the Lok Sabha elections. Our alliance received the same number of votes in the Assembly elections as in the Lok Sabha, but all the new votes went to the BJP. Why? Because the Election Commission and the BJP colluded to steal votes.”

He further told the youth that vote theft means the theft of rights, reservations, employment, education, democracy, and the future of young people.

Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav also targeted the NDA government, saying, “The government running in Bihar is a double-engine government, where one engine is engaged in crime and the other in corruption. You must safeguard your voting rights. Fraudulent names are being cleverly added to the voter lists. We must give a strong response to those who are disrupting Bihar.”

Political observers believe that the Patna rally sent a clear message from the INDIA alliance—that it aims to mobilize voters and build strong electoral momentum against the BJP and NDA in Bihar.
