‘Jaat’ Sees Box Office Surge Over the Weekend, Earns ₹10 Crore on Day 3

New Delhi: Sunny Deol, known as one of Bollywood’s most powerful actors, has made a strong comeback to the silver screen after two years with his latest film, Jaat. Released on April 10, the movie has received positive reviews from both critics and audiences alike. Although Jaat had a relatively slow start at the box office, its weekend performance has shown a significant uptick.

According to Sacnilk, Jaat earned ₹10 crore on its third day, taking its three-day domestic total to ₹26.50 crore. The film earned ₹9.5 crore on its opening day and ₹7 crore on the second day. If the current momentum continues, the film is expected to comfortably recover its reported budget of ₹60 crore.

The movie underwent 22 modifications before release, including the removal or alteration of several scenes containing abusive language, vulgarity, and violent content. A controversial scene involving the harassment of a female inspector was also shortened and toned down.

Despite these changes, audience reaction on social media has been largely positive. Many viewers are calling Jaat one of Sunny Deol’s best performances yet, with some even comparing its intensity and style to that of a South Indian action film.

With growing word-of-mouth and increasing footfall in theaters, Jaat appears poised for a successful run in the coming days.
