Kashi Tamil Sangamam 3.0: Startups, Innovation, and Research Group Takes Holy Dip at Hanuman Ghat

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) : The Startups, Innovation, and Research Group, arriving to attend Kashi Tamil Sangamam visited Hanuman Ghat. The group took a holy dip in the Ganges, offered prayers, and sought blessings for prosperity. Acharyas present there apprised them of the detailed insights about the history of various ghats.

After taking a dip in the river Ganga, all the guests visited the ancient temples located on the ghat, where they offered prayers and were given information about the history, grandeur, and spiritual significance of these temples. Following this, the Tamil delegates visited the house of Subramania Bharati at Hanuman Ghat. They interacted with his family members and showed great curiosity about his life and legacy. The group also toured a nearby library and learned about its collection.

After visiting Bharati’s home, the delegation proceeded to the Kanchi Math to understand its historical importance. Seeing the South Indian temple in Kashi excited the group. Pandit Venkat Raman Ghanapathi said that the deep-rooted connection between Kashi and Tamil Nadu is centuries old and not limited to just a fortnight-long event. He added that Hanuman Ghat, Kedar Ghat, and Harishchandra Ghat are home to thousands of families from different parts of South India that reflects the close relationship between these two regions. Hanuman Ghat alone has over 150 Tamil families, where the essence of Kashi Tamil Sangamam is felt every day.

Raman Swami noted that the Kashi Vishwanath Temple has undergone major transformations. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative, which enabled them to visit Kashi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya. Speaking about his visit, he said that he had last been to Kashi in 2012, but now the city is much cleaner, and access to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple has become much more convenient.
