Khalsa, Kirori Mal and Vivekananda College score victory in the 5th PSPB Baba Deep Singh Hockey tournament

New Delhi: Host Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, Kirori Mal College and Vivekananda College scored victory on the opening day of the 5th PSPB Baba Deep Singh Hockey ( M & W) tournament.
Khalsa College defeated Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education & Sports Sciences (IGIPESS) 6-0 in the men’s section match. Vipin Mishra scored 4 goals, Manish and Tanuj scored one goal each for the winners.The player of the match was awarded to Vipin Mishra of SGTB Khalsa College.
It was a sunny day during the Inauguration at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College ground.The tournament was inaugurated jointly by Chief Guest Mr. Lalit Watts, Advisor, PSPB, Prof Sarita Tyagi, Head, Department of Physical Education & Sports Sciences, Prof Gurmohinder Singh Principal, SGTB Khalsa College, Dr. Susheel Kumar, Assistant Director, Delhi University Sports Council and Dr. Ravi Chaturvedi, Padam Shree Awardee. They encouraged players by sharing their experience with them.
Kirori Mal College defeated St. Stephen’s College 11-2.Samar Singh and Rohit Dangi scored 4 goals each.Player of the Match was awarded to Samar Singh
In the women’s categary Vivekananda College beat Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College 1-0. Mahima scored the winning goal in the 58th minute. Player of the Match was awarded to Monika of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College.
