Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest Returns for 16th Year this November
Mumbai: Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest, presented by Godrej Industries Group, will return for its 16th edition from 7-9 November 2025 at the NCPA, Nariman Point. Celebrated as Mumbai’s premier international literary festival, the three-day event will feature over 100 acclaimed writers, speakers, and performers from more than 10 countries. This year’s line-up includes names like Shashi Tharoor, Jimmy Wales, Lillete Dubey, Shehan Karunatilaka, Jeet Thayil, Soha Ali Khan, and Nobel Laureate Venkatraman Ramakrishnan. Sessions will span fiction, poetry, history, science, business, philosophy, and more—reflecting the festival’s core values of inclusivity and innovation.
The festival’s signature features return: the Great Debate, Book in Focus, awards including Lifetime Achievement and Poet Laureate, book launches, performances, workshops, and campus outreaches. The Little Festival for children, in partnership with the H T Parekh Foundation, will run concurrently on 7-8 November, culminating in the Binod Kanoria Awards for Children’s Literature.
Co-Directors Amy Fernandes and Quasar Thakore Padamsee highlighted the festival’s legacy and evolving vision. Godrej Chairman Nadir Godrej praised the LitFest as a world-class event rooted in Mumbai.
