Mahagathbandhan Slams Nitish Government Over Law and Order Situation in Bihar Ahead of Assembly Session

Patna (Bihar) : The Mahagathbandhan (INDI Allaince) launched a scathing attack on the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government today over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Just ahead of the commencement of the assembly session, opposition leaders addressed the media within the assembly premises, raising serious questions about the functioning and effectiveness of the state government.

“Bihar is No Longer in Nitish Kumar’s Control” – Shakeel Ahmad
Senior Congress leader and MLA Shakeel Ahmad strongly criticized the Chief Minister, stating,

“No matter how many new schemes or laws Nitish Kumar brings, Bihar is no longer manageable under his leadership. Criminals are running unchecked, and the administration has become completely paralyzed.”

Ahmad added that the common people are living in an atmosphere of fear and insecurity, while the government is busy manipulating data and statistics to showcase false progress.

“Is this the so-called good governance that has kept Nitish Kumar in power for so many years?” he asked.

Collapse of Police System and Rise in Crime
Other leaders of the Mahagathbandhan also expressed grave concerns over the spike in criminal activities across the state. They pointed to the failure of the police system and the rise in murders, robberies, and rapes as proof that law and order in Bihar has completely collapsed.

Law and Order to Dominate Upcoming Assembly Session
The opposition has made it clear that law and order will be their key issue in the upcoming assembly session. They intend to force the government to answer for the growing unrest and deteriorating public safety across the state.

“We will confront the government in the House with the questions of a helpless and anguished public,” said a Mahagathbandhan leader.

Public Anguish Becomes a Political Weapon
In recent weeks, Bihar has witnessed a string of alarming criminal incidents — including killings of businessmen, crimes against women, and broad daylight robberies. The Mahagathbandhan argues that these incidents clearly reflect a breakdown of law and order under the Nitish regime and demand immediate accountability.
