Baramati Plane Crash : Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Dies in Plane Crash

Baramati (Maharashtra): Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister and senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar has died in a tragic aircraft accident that occurred this morning at Baramati airport. The crash took place during landing, as the aircraft was descending onto the runway.

According to preliminary information, the aircraft lost balance while attempting to land and crashed. Ajit Pawar suffered fatal injuries in the accident. Reports suggest that 4–5 other people on board were injured and have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have begun an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash. Videos from the accident site have surfaced, showing frightening visuals. A large crowd gathered at the spot soon after the incident. The aircraft was reportedly completely damaged in the crash.

Ajit Pawar was traveling to Baramati to attend a public meeting related to the Zilla Parishad elections when the accident occurred. Police teams have reached the site, and a detailed probe is underway.

Eyewitness accounts indicate that the aircraft caught severe fire immediately after the crash. Thick smoke was seen billowing from the burning wreckage as flames engulfed the plane during the aftermath of the incident.
