Main Accused Sonam Raghuvanshi Hired Contract Killers in Double Murder Case: Meghalaya Minister
Shillong : In the high-profile Raghuvanshi couple murder case, Meghalaya Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh revealed that the crime stemmed from a love triangle, and the main accused, Sonam Raghuvanshi, had hired contract killers to carry out the murder. Commending the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for solving the case within seven days, the minister confirmed that four individuals were involved. Sonam Raghuvanshi is the prime accused, while the contract killers — Vishal Singh Chauhan, Raj Singh, and Anand Kurmi — are all residents of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Minister Lyngdoh praised the state police, stating, “We have proven that our police force is capable of resolving even complex cases.” He assured that the safety of tourists remains a top priority for the government.
He added that Meghalaya will continue to offer safe and respectful hospitality to domestic and international tourists, with enhanced security measures in collaboration with the local tourism community.
