Medical Students Decide to Go on Indefinite Strike

Patna (Bihar) : Medical students of Bihar Veterinary College have decided to go on an indefinite strike in protest against an incident of assault by local residents and a shooting that occurred on campus on Tuesday evening. One student was injured in the firing.

The protesting students are demanding a guarantee of security from the college administration and the government. They have stated that the strike will continue until the safety of the campus and students is ensured.

One student said, “Local people came and assaulted us. Later, there was firing on campus in which one of our fellow students was injured. This is a direct attack on our safety.”

So far, the college administration has not issued any official statement, but in light of the students’ anger, security measures may be increased.

Since the incident, the campus has been under high tension, and academic activities have come to a complete halt.
