Dibrugarh (Assam): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited a tea garden in Dibrugarh, Assam, where he spent time with women workers, plucked tea leaves, and even took selfies with them. During the visit, he interacted with the workers and appreciated their contribution to the state’s globally renowned tea industry.
Sharing his experience on social media platform ‘X’, the Prime Minister said, “Tea is the soul of Assam, and it has earned recognition across the world.” He described his morning visit to the tea garden in Dibrugarh as a truly memorable experience, where he engaged with the women working there.

Assam is one of the world’s largest tea-producing regions, with districts like Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, and Jorhat forming the backbone of the industry. The sector provides employment to millions and plays a vital role in India’s tea exports and regional economy.

“The massive crowd, the energy of the youth, and the blessings of mothers and sisters clearly indicate that a hat-trick is certain this time,” he said. He also added that with the people’s blessings, he has had the opportunity to serve the nation for a third term and expressed confidence that the BJP would achieve a third consecutive victory in Assam as well.
