Mukesh Khanna Launches “Paheli Geet 2” as Tribute to Freedom Fighters
Mumbai : Renowned actor Mukesh Khanna, best known for his iconic role as India’s first superhero Shaktimaan, launched the second song of his patriotic album Krantikari Paheli titled “Paheli Geet 2” at Star House, Mumbai. The song, released on Bhishma International’s official YouTube channel, is a tribute to India’s great freedom fighters. In a unique format, the video features Khanna posing riddles to children about legendary revolutionaries like Chandra Shekhar Azad, Veer Savarkar, Mangal Pandey, and Ashfaqulla Khan. The first song in the series had covered Rani Laxmi Bai, Bhagat Singh, Subhas Chandra Bose, and others. Present at the launch were lyricist Deepak Tripathi, composer Surya Rajkamal, and choreographer Pappu Khanna. Khanna emphasized that the song aims to educate children and youth about India’s unsung heroes and reiterated his ongoing campaign to grant martyr status to over 7,000 revolutionaries.
Another patriotic song, Sare Jahan Se Achha, is set to release on August 12.
