NDA Activity Intensifies in Patna Ahead of Rajya Sabha Polls, Sanjay Jha Confident of Victory

Patna: Political activity has intensified in Bihar ahead of the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. After Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav claimed that his party would win the contest, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has stepped up its strategy meetings.

In this context, two key NDA meetings are being held in Patna today. The first meeting is taking place at the residence of Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, while the second meeting will be held at the residence of Upendra Kushwaha. All NDA MLAs and MLCs are attending these meetings to discuss the strategy for the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls.

Speaking about the meetings, JD(U) working national president Sanjay Kumar Jha said that party legislators will be given training on the voting process, as every single vote will be crucial in the election. He expressed confidence that the NDA would emerge victorious in the Rajya Sabha polls.

Responding to Tejashwi Yadav’s claim of victory, Sanjay Jha said that the RJD leader had earlier made similar claims during the Assembly elections about forming the government and taking oath as Chief Minister, but the results were different. He added that feedback received by the party clearly indicates that the NDA is heading for a decisive win.

Jha said the results of the election scheduled for March 16 will make it clear which side holds the real strength. He asserted that the NDA is set to win all five Rajya Sabha seats from Bihar, adding that four seats are almost certain and the numbers are also in NDA’s favour for the fifth seat.

Amid speculation about Chief Minister Nitish Kumar possibly moving to the Rajya Sabha, Jha said that the NDA’s senior leadership will collectively decide on the next Chief Minister of Bihar if such a situation arises.

He also took aim at the politics in West Bengal, criticising the government led by Mamata Banerjee and calling it a complete failure. Jha said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been continuously launching development initiatives in West Bengal, while the state government is resorting to desperate statements.
