PM Modi Wins Hearts in Varanasi with His Bhojpuri Flair, Resounding Chants of ‘Har-Har Mahadev’ Fill the Rally
Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh): On his 50th visit to Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again showcased his deep connection with Kashi and the unwavering enthusiasm of the people towards him. Addressing a massive public rally at Mehdiganj Rajatalab on Friday, PM Modi captivated the crowd by invoking the traditional chant of “Har-Har Mahadev” and speaking warmly in Bhojpuri, earning thunderous applause and emotional cheers from the audience.
Speaking in a heartfelt tone, he said in Bhojpuri, “You all continue to bless me with your love; I am indebted to this affection. Kashi is mine, and I belong to Kashi. Kashi is mine, and I belong to Kashi.” He shared that he had the privilege of seeking blessings at the temple of Sankat Mochan and expressed that the people of Kashi had gathered to celebrate the progress and development of the region.
Highlighting the wide-ranging plans for the holistic development of Purvanchal, the Prime Minister emphasized that “Kashi today is not just ancient, but also progressive. It is now at the center of the economic map of Purvanchal.” He underscored that Lord Mahadev himself watches over Kashi, and numerous new projects connected to both Kashi and the wider Purvanchal region have been inaugurated or launched.
PM Modi elaborated on various infrastructure projects that are strengthening connectivity, including initiatives bringing piped water to every household, and the expansion of education, healthcare, and sports facilities. He reiterated his commitment to providing better amenities to every region, every family, and every youth, asserting that all these efforts are stepping stones towards a “Developed Purvanchal.”
During the rally, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 44 development projects.
He noted that Kashi stands today as a magnificent confluence of tradition and modernity, and that every citizen of the city will directly benefit from these schemes.
The atmosphere at the rally was electric, with the youth and local residents overflowing with enthusiasm. Slogans of “Modi-Modi” echoed throughout the venue, which saw a crowd of over 50,000 people gathered to hear the Prime Minister’s address. From the stage, PM Modi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the people of Kashi and the entire Purvanchal region for these development milestones.
