Prime Minister Modi Arrives in Mauritius for a Two-Day Visit, Receives a Warm Welcome

Port Louis: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Mauritius on Tuesday for a two-day visit. Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam warmly welcomed him at the airport. Several dignitaries, including the Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius, the Chief Justice, the Leader of the Opposition, and the Foreign Minister, were also present.

Prime Minister Modi landed at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport at 6 AM (local time) on Tuesday. Expressing gratitude for the grand welcome, he posted on X:

“I have arrived in Mauritius. I am grateful to my friend, Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, for the special welcome at the airport. This visit is a wonderful opportunity to meet a valued friend and explore new avenues of cooperation in various sectors. Today, I will meet President Dharam Gokhool, Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam, and address a community event in the evening.”

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Modi is on a two-day visit to Mauritius. He will be the chief guest at the National Day celebrations, and several bilateral agreements are expected to be signed during his visit.
