Pujya Swami Raghavanand Ji Maharaj Passes Away, Hindu Society Mourns the Loss of a Great Saint
New Delhi: The Hindu community is in mourning after the passing of Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Shri Swami Raghavanand Ji Maharaj, a revered saint and spiritual leader. Swami Ji was a senior member of the Central Governing Council of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the head of Udasin Ashram in Delhi. He was known for his unwavering commitment to Hindu dharma, culture, and social values.
Swami Raghavanand Ji played a pivotal role in several landmark movements, including the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement, Ram Setu protection campaign, cow protection efforts, opposition to religious conversions, and temple liberation initiatives. His guidance and blessings infused the Hindu society with renewed strength and resolve in each of these causes.
Many of VHP’s strategic decisions and plans were crafted at his ashram, which continues to serve as a vital hub for spiritual, religious, social, and educational activities.
Swami Ji was known for his simplicity, ascetic discipline, and dedication to service. His life was a testament to tireless devotion to nation, dharma, culture, and society. He inspired generations to walk the path of righteousness and dharma through his teachings and personal example.
With his demise, not just the VHP but the entire nation has lost a spiritual giant whose presence can never be replaced. Prayers are being offered for his eternal peace, and for strength to follow the noble path he illuminated.
Swami Ji’s mortal remains have been kept at the main hall of the Udasin Ashram, Paharganj, Delhi, for devotees to pay their final respects.
The funeral procession will commence from the ashram today at 3:30 PM and conclude at the Panchkuian Road cremation ground at 4:30 PM.
