Rabri Devi’s Sharp Attack on Samrat Choudhary, Vijay Sinha Responds Strongly – “Don’t Tarnish Bihar Anymore”
Patna (Bihar): Bihar politics has once again flared up amid a fiery exchange of words. RJD leader and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi has made serious and controversial allegations against Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. She said, “He used to indulge in hooliganism on Boring Road since childhood… I have seen him growing up. He used to harass girls there…”
Her comments sparked widespread outrage in political circles. NDA leaders condemned the statement, calling it a reflection of RJD’s frustration and branding such personal accusations as shameful.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha strongly rebuked Rabri Devi’s remarks, saying:
“Speaking without any basis is not right. This is an attempt to undermine constitutional norms. They have already defamed Bihar a lot — now stop maligning Bihar and its people.”
He further added that the RJD has been repeatedly rejected by the people, and now they have resorted to low-level politics out of desperation.
Political analysts believe this war of words signals escalating tensions between the ruling alliance and the opposition, especially in light of the upcoming by-elections and the ongoing assembly session. Meanwhile, several public figures and civil society groups have urged political leaders to maintain decorum and use restrained language.
The controversy is far from over. All eyes are now on Samrat Choudhary’s response, which could further shape the political discourse in Bihar in the coming days.
