Rajnath Singh’s Stinging Attack on Pakistan: “India is a Lion, Doesn’t Fight Frogs”; Operation Sindoor to Deliver Decisive Blow to Terrorism

New Delhi :  In a sharp address in the Lok Sabha on Monday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh launched a scathing attack on Pakistan and terrorism, asserting that India will now respond decisively to any act of terror. During a discussion on Operation Sindoor, Singh declared, “India is a lion, and a lion doesn’t fight frogs,”—a pointed jibe widely interpreted as directed at Pakistan.

He clarified that the objective of Operation Sindoor was not to capture territory or cross borders, but to eliminate the terrorist nurseries that Pakistan has been nurturing for years. The operation, he said, was aimed at delivering justice to the families who lost loved ones to terror attacks.

“We have learned from Lord Krishna,” Singh stated, “that ultimately, to protect righteousness, the Sudarshan Chakra must be wielded.” Referring to the 2006 Parliament attack and the 2008 Mumbai attacks, he said, “India has had enough. It was time to act.”

“No Dialogue Amid the Sound of Gunfire”
Targeting the opposition, Singh said, “Some members ask how many of our aircraft were shot down. But the real question should be—how many enemy bases did we destroy? And the answer is: yes, we destroyed them. And not a single one of our brave soldiers was harmed.”
He added that Operation Sindoor was not just a military maneuver but a demonstration of India’s national will and strategic clarity.

“No More Compromises on Terrorism”
Rajnath Singh accused Pakistan of using terrorism as a tool of state policy, saying, “They know they cannot win a conventional war against India.”
He firmly stated that India will not bow to nuclear blackmail or international pressure and reaffirmed India’s stand on rejecting joint statements that dilute its stance on terrorism, referencing India’s refusal to sign the SCO joint declaration and its strong position even in China’s presence at the BRICS summit in Brazil.

“New Policy, New India”
Citing the 2016 Surgical Strikes, 2019 Balakot Air Strikes, and now 2025’s Operation Sindoor, the Defence Minister said, “India’s strategic approach has changed. There is no place for both dialogue and terror to coexist.”

A Clear Message to the World
Rajnath Singh’s speech clearly underlines India’s zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism and a new era of assertive national security policy.

“India is no longer just talking. We are now acting. The message to the world is clear: India will not bend, India will strike back.”
