RCP Singh Hints at Return to JD(U), Says “Everything Will Be Clear After Kharmas,” Supports Demand for Bharat Ratna for Nitish Kumar

Patna: Speculation over former Union minister RCP Singh’s possible return to the Janata Dal (United) has once again intensified in political circles. The occasion was a programme organised by the Patel Seva Sangh, where the presence of both Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RCP Singh fuelled political buzz. Although the two leaders arrived at different times and did not share the stage, RCP Singh’s remarks after the event further sharpened political discussions.
Speaking to the media after the programme, RCP Singh described Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as his “guardian” and said that their relationship is not confined to any position or occasion.
“My association with Nitish Kumar spans the last 25 years. We have attended many such programmes together in the past. Today, the event was organised by the Patel family, which the Chief Minister attended earlier and we arrived later. We thank the Chief Minister for attending the programme,” he said.
Responding to the Patel family’s appeal calling for Nitish Kumar and RCP Singh to come together again, he remarked,
“You tell me, where are we really separated? We have worked together for 25 years. The way we know Nitish Kumar, perhaps no one else does, and similarly, he knows us just as well.”
When asked about his possible return to JD(U) after Kharmas, RCP Singh gave a cryptic response, saying,
“You will come to know very soon.”
His statement is being widely seen as a clear indication of his return to the party.
During the interaction, RCP Singh also supported the demand for conferring the Bharat Ratna on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He said that Nitish Kumar’s contributions to Bihar and national politics deserve the country’s highest civilian honour.
Following these remarks, political activity around RCP Singh’s potential return to JD(U) has gained further momentum. All eyes are now on the post-Kharmas period to see what new political equations emerge in Bihar’s politics.
