New Delhi: In a strategic move to reclaim its position as a beauty industry leader, Revlon India, in partnership with Modi-Mundipharma Beauty Products, has laid out an ambitious roadmap under the leadership of Meghna Modi, Executive Director and Head of the Indian Subcontinent. Since her appointment in November 2023, Modi has spearheaded a comprehensive business transformation encompassing sales, supply chain, e-commerce, and organizational culture. Speaking at a recent media interaction in Panchkula, Modi reaffirmed Revlon’s bold aspirations: “We are building our business in line with our brand promise — to move the world boldly forward, empowering every woman to live fully, freely, and purposefully, no matter how she feels.” She emphasized Revlon’s core mission built on inspiration, innovation, inclusion, and intent.
Revlon India is now focusing on expanding both its color cosmetics (makeup and skincare) and personal care (hair color, haircare, body sprays) ranges. The company aims to double its retail footprint — from 300 to over 600 brand outlets and expand its department store presence to 4,000+ doors in the next 2–3 years across India. The brand also plans to boost distribution across all key channels including EBOs, general trade, department stores, and e-commerce platforms.
Modi’s leadership style combines active engagement with digital and offline strategy. Currently, 25% of Revlon’s sales come from online platforms. To connect with millennials and aspirational consumers in Tier-2 cities, Revlon is investing in visual platforms like Instagram and influencer-led storytelling. Product innovation is another cornerstone of the growth strategy. The brand is expanding into new categories such as perfumes and haircare and has launched the millennial-focused brand “Street Wear Cosmetics”, with pricing starting from INR 399 to appeal to a broader, more affordable market.
Meghna Modi, daughter of Umesh Kumar Modi (Chairman, Umesh Modi Group), brings elite academic and corporate experience. An alumna of London Business School and Harvard Business School, she worked at Bain & Company in Boston before returning to India to take on Revlon’s leadership.
Revlon, launched in India in 1995 by Modi-Mundipharma (then Modi-Revlon), holds the distinction of being India’s first international cosmetics brand. It continues to be a trusted name in color authority and beauty innovation. With a vision rooted in quality, trust, and visibility, Meghna Modi is steering Revlon India toward a bold new chapter of relevance and growth in India’s dynamic beauty market.
