Senior Journalist Rizwan Ahmad Siddiqui Files FIR Against Obscene Social Media Content, Demands Strict Action for Tarnishing Sacred Relationships

New Delhi : The declining standards of content on social media platforms have become a matter of growing concern. In pursuit of cheap popularity, many individuals are crossing the boundaries of decency by portraying sacred relationships—such as uncle-nephew, father-son, mother-son, and daughter—in an objectionable manner.

Taking strong exception to this disturbing trend, senior journalist and social worker Mr. Rizwan Ahmad Siddiqui has filed an FIR against both the content creators and the platforms that allow the unchecked spread of such indecent material. According to him, the lack of censorship and accountability on these platforms is leading to widespread social and cultural degradation.

“This action was long overdue,” said Mr. Siddiqui. “To protect social values and familial sanctity, it is imperative that strict laws be enforced.”

His initiative has received wide support from social activists, parents’ groups, and concerned citizens. Many have expressed alarm at how the freedom of expression on social media is being misused to erode cultural norms and values, and they are calling on the government to implement strong cyber regulations and hold platforms accountable.
