Supertails and Indiranagar Canine Squad Launch Free Anti-Rabies Drive for Street Dogs in Bengaluru on World Rabies Day

Bengaluru: Marking World Rabies Day, Supertails, India’s leading digital-first pet care brand, has partnered with the Indiranagar Canine Squad to launch a free anti-rabies vaccination drive for street dogs in Bengaluru. The initiative took place on 28th September at the Koramangala Pet Clinic & Grooming Centre, running from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering vaccinations for community dogs brought in by feeders, rescuers, and animal lovers.

As rabies continues to claim thousands of lives across India each year, unvaccinated street dogs remain a significant public health concern. This joint effort reflects Supertails’ ongoing commitment to animal welfare and public safety, emphasizing that every tail—whether in a home or on the street—deserves care.“This drive is about dignity, safety, and compassion for the animals who share our streets,” said Vineet Khanna, Co-founder of Supertails. “By protecting street dogs, we’re not only saving lives but fostering healthier, more compassionate communities.”

Bengaluru, with its large community dog population, sees growing involvement from citizens in rescuing and feeding streeties. The drive also aimed to empower these caretakers by making preventive healthcare more accessible and offering dedicated on-ground support through the Indiranagar Canine Squad.

Beyond vaccinations, the initiative sought to raise awareness around preventive care as a shared social responsibility, encouraging communities to engage more deeply in urban animal welfare. Through this initiative, Supertails reinforces its mission of extending quality veterinary care to both pets and community animals, creating a safer and more empathetic environment for all.
