Directed by Ankit Kadam, produced by Sure Real Pictures and Kanishk Kadam, and co-produced by Approach Entertainment and Sonu Tyagi, the film features the actor — known for his compelling performances in India Lockdown (2022), Made in Heaven Season 2 (2023), and Kota Factory Season 3 (2024) — bringing authenticity and depth to the role of a disillusioned student grappling with rebellion and self-discovery.
Liberation follows James, a privileged young man who drops out of school, tormented by family pressures and a search for purpose in a seemingly meaningless world. Driven by a dark obsession to assassinate a renowned singer and etch his legacy, James’s journey intersects with vivid characters like Dorothy, a resilient street worker, and Boss, a wealth-obsessed schemer. This gripping narrative of vengeance, redemption, and ultimate liberation resonates deeply with contemporary youth, blending intense drama with universal themes of identity and societal rebellion. Produced with a global audience in mind, the film will release in English as its primary language, alongside Hindi and other Indian languages, ensuring broad accessibility.
Born and brought up in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, Satvik Bhatia has quickly emerged as one of the most promising talents in Indian cinema. Standing tall at 6’2” with striking black eyes and hair, Bhatia made his film debut as Dev in India Lockdown (2022), followed by the lead role of Kartik in Kuch Sapney Apne (2024). His television breakthrough came as Sajid in Made in Heaven Season 2 (2023), and he recently won audiences as Minku in Kota Factory Season 3 (2024).
