Taapsee Pannu Becomes Brand Ambassador for Yakult, Boosting its 2030 Rebranding Vision

New Delhi: Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between Japan’s Yakult Honsha and France’s Groupe Danone, has announced Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu as its new brand ambassador. This move aligns with the company’s 2030 vision to achieve double-digit growth annually and promote better digestive health across India. Since entering the Indian market in 2008, Yakult has expanded to over 700 cities and played a pioneering role in building awareness about probiotics. The increasing demand for functional foods and healthy dietary habits in India has made the country a key part of Yakult’s global growth strategy.

Taapsee Pannu expressed her excitement, saying, “My family, especially my mother, has been consuming Yakult for years. I truly believe that good health begins in the gut.” Yakult’s unique “Yakult Ladies” home delivery model, run by specially trained women, not only ensures freshness and reliability but also empowers women economically. Dr. Neerja Hajela, CSO of Yakult Danone India, emphasized the scientific backing of Yakult’s probiotic strain—Lactobacillus casei strain Shirota—which improves digestion and boosts immunity.
