Tawang District Organises Tiranga Yatra under Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2025
Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh) : In a vibrant display of patriotism and unity, Tawang District today organised a grand Tiranga Yatra as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign 2025. The Yatra commenced at 0700 hrs from Buddha Park, Tawang, and proceeded to the DC Office premises, Tawang. The event was flagged off by the Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE), Tawang, Hridar Phuntsok.
The government officials,general public,Students from Dorjee Khandu Government College Tawang, Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Tawang, and Government Town Secondary School (GTSS) Tawang enthusiastically participated, marching with the National Flag and patriotic fervour. The Yatra culminated at the DC Office, where Namgyal Angmo, IAS, Deputy
Commissioner, Tawang, addressed the gathering in the presence of all Heads of Departments (HoDs), officers, and staff members.
Approximately 1,000 citizens joined the Yatra, marking it as one of the largest community gatherings in the district in recent times. Alongside the main march, the Tawang Cycle Association also organised a spirited Cycle Rally from the DC Office to the War Memorial, Tawang. Notably, the Deputy Commissioner herself participated in the rally, motivating and encouraging the cyclists.
At the War Memorial, the rally participants were warmly received by Camp Commander lieutenant Col. Digvijay Jadav, who extended hospitality by serving refreshments to the riders on behalf of Tawang brigade.
The day’s events not only celebrated the spirit of independence but also reinforced the message of unity, civic pride, and active citizen participation under the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative.
