Tejashwi Yadav Slams Election Commission: “It Seems to Have Become BJP’s Commission”

Patna (Bihar) : As the Bihar Assembly elections approach, the political atmosphere is heating up. On Friday, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a scathing attack on the Election Commission, accusing it of siding with the BJP and violating the Constitution.

Tejashwi Yadav stated: “We have repeatedly requested the Election Commission for an appointment so that our delegation can meet them. But unfortunately, in a state where elections are due, the Commission is not even ready to listen to the opposition.”

He described this attitude as a serious threat to democracy, saying: “These people are bent on destroying democracy. The Election Commission itself is tearing apart constitutional norms. Our party president Lalu Prasad Yadav even wrote a letter to the Commission, but we have received no response so far.”

“Election Commission is Pushing BJP’s Agenda”

Tejashwi didn’t hold back and made bold accusations, “It now seems like the Election Commission has become BJP’s own commission. The BJP and Nitish Kumar can see their defeat coming, which is why the Election Commission is secretly backing them.”

He further added, “Never before have we seen the Election Commission refusing time to the opposition. On one hand, they talk about ‘One Nation, One Election’, but on the other hand, they can’t even ensure a fair election in one state.”

“Fraud is Happening, Democracy is in Danger”

Calling for free and fair elections, Tejashwi said, “There is a conspiracy to rig the elections in the state. This is nothing less than murder of democracy. There’s a clear attempt to suppress the voice of the opposition.” Tejashwi Yadav’s strong remarks reflect RJD’s deep mistrust in the Election Commission’s impartiality. The party sees the Commission as an instrument helping the ruling coalition behind the scenes. It remains to be seen how the Election Commission responds to these serious allegations and whether it grants the opposition a chance to be heard.
