Tension Escalates in Lalu Yadav’s Family After Bihar Poll Results; Lalu Breaks Silence — Says, “I’m Alive, I Will Resolve Everything”
Patna (Bihar) : After the results of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025, a deep rift within the family of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has come to the forefront. A day after the results, Lalu’s elder daughter Rohini Acharya announced that she was quitting politics and distancing herself from the family, choosing to return to her in-laws’ home. She also levelled serious allegations against Tejashwi Yadav and his close associates Sanjay Yadav and Rameez.
Amid this ongoing controversy, questions were being raised as to why Lalu Prasad had remained silent and whether he had sided with Tejashwi while ignoring his daughter’s grievances. However, new information suggests that Lalu Prasad has now broken his silence, stating—
“I am alive, and I can resolve this entire issue.”
This remark has once again put the internal discord within the family in the spotlight.
Lalu Speaks During RJD Legislature Party Meeting
Media reports indicate that Lalu Prasad Yadav attended the RJD Legislature Party meeting. During the meeting, he proposed Tejashwi Yadav as the leader of the legislature party, a proposal accepted unanimously.
Sources also claim that the Rohini–Tejashwi dispute was discussed during this meeting. On this, Lalu reportedly said—
“This is a family dispute, and it will be resolved within the family. I am alive, and I can settle this issue.”
What Happened on November 15?
Following the election results, the Lalu family was deeply disappointed on November 14. On the afternoon of November 15, Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, Misa Bharti, Tejashwi, Rohini, and other family members were sitting together when a heated argument broke out between Rohini and Tejashwi. The argument soon escalated into a major confrontation.
After this, Rohini left the residence, accusing Tejashwi, Sanjay, and Rameez of serious misconduct. Reports suggest that Lalu’s other daughters also stepped out of the house after the dispute.
Rohini’s Serious Accusations
After leaving home, Rohini posted on X saying—
“I am quitting politics and cutting ties with the family. Sanjay Yadav and Rameez asked me to do this, and I am taking the entire blame upon myself.”
In another post, she alleged—
“I was abused with filthy language and was nearly attacked with a slipper. I cannot compromise on my self-respect, which is why I walked out.”
Tej Pratap Yadav’s Strong Allegation
Meanwhile, elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav made a serious claim on Instagram. He alleged that certain individuals were attempting to exert “mental and physical pressure” on his parents.
He appealed to the Central and Bihar governments to investigate the matter, writing—
“If my parents have been mentally or physically harassed in any way, strict action must be taken against those responsible.”
Growing Turmoil Inside the Lalu Family
Sources say the ongoing internal rift has deeply worried Lalu Prasad Yadav. Earlier this year, Tej Pratap distanced himself from the family, and now Rohini’s abrupt departure has complicated matters even further.
Sanjay Yadav remains a close and trusted aide of Tejashwi and was seen attending the RJD Legislature Party meeting.
With Lalu Prasad now stepping in directly, there is hope that the family discord may find some resolution in the coming days.
