New Delhi: Actress Janhvi Kapoor has been dating businessman Shikhar Pahariya for the past few years. The couple is often seen spending time together, and Janhvi frequently shares pictures with him on social media. As a result, Shikhar has also become somewhat active on social media. Recently, a troll referred to Shikhar as “Dalit,” to which he responded strongly with a social media post, proving that he does not back down from insults and confidently stands up against discrimination.
Shikhar Pahariya’s Strong Reply to the Casteist Comment
Last year, during Diwali, Shikhar Pahariya shared a post featuring a picture with Janhvi Kapoor and their beloved pet dogs. In the post, he extended Diwali wishes to everyone. However, one user commented, “But you are Dalit.”
Months later, Shikhar took a screenshot of this comment and posted it on his Instagram story, responding sharply:
“Even in 2025, such backward and disgusting mindsets still exist. Diwali is a festival of light, progress, and unity, but these values seem beyond your understanding. India’s strength has always been its unity in diversity and inclusivity, but unfortunately, you lack the wisdom to comprehend this. Instead of spreading negativity, you should educate yourself.”
With this post, Shikhar Pahariya sent a strong message against caste-based discrimination and insensitivity in society.
Who is Shikhar Pahariya?
Shikhar Pahariya comes from a reputed family and is the grandson of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. His mother, Smriti Shinde, is one of Shinde’s three daughters. His brother, Veer Pahariya, recently made his Bollywood debut in Akshay Kumar’s film “Sky Force.”
