Union Minister Harsh Malhotra Said, “GST is the Biggest Reform for Traders, Government Ready for Simplification”

New Delhi: Addressing the trading community on Sunday, Union Minister Harsh Malhotra stated that the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) has been the most significant reform for traders since the formation of the Narendra Modi government. He said, “After the rollout of GST, India’s economy accelerated, and today, India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy. Our trader brothers and entrepreneurs have played a crucial role in this achievement.”

Harsh Malhotra further added, “The government understands the concerns of traders, and it is fully prepared to undertake whatever rationalization and simplification of GST is necessary for their convenience.”

The minister’s remarks are being seen as a sign of the government’s ongoing engagement and trust with the business community. He assured that the tax system would continue to evolve to become more transparent and simpler, keeping in view the changing needs of the business sector.

Experts believe this statement could be an indication of possible relief measures for traders ahead of the upcoming budget session.
