Renowned Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda will serve as the brand ambassador and will be present during the event. The marathon will see participation from 35 international runners representing countries including Kenya, South Africa, Morocco, Bahrain, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. They will be joined by nearly 18,000 runners from across India, carrying a global message of tiger conservation, forest protection, and responsible tourism as they run through the streets of Alwar. Around 400 specially-abled participants will also take part.

On the occasion, Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, State Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma, and senior officials from the Tourism and other departments will be present.

The second edition of the Alwar Tiger International Half Marathon is being organized to strengthen the on-ground impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Fit India Movement and the national commitment to environmental conservation.

According to Union Minister and Alwar MP Bhupender Yadav, the Alwar Tiger Marathon is not merely a sporting event but an effective platform for wildlife conservation, environmental awareness, and tourism promotion. He noted that such initiatives help connect youth with nature.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said the international marathon advances a vision where healthy citizens, a safe environment, sustainable development, and responsible tourism complement one another.

Rajasthan Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma described the marathon as an important platform that links environmental protection with public participation.

Brand ambassador Randeep Hooda said it is a matter of pride for him to be associated with the Alwar Tiger Half Marathon, adding that environmental conservation has always been close to his heart and that the event strengthens this cause.

The Alwar Tiger Half Marathon is seen as a significant step toward positioning Alwar as a major hub for eco-tourism, wildlife tourism, and sports tourism at national and international levels. Through this event, the natural heritage of the Aravallis, the Sariska Tiger Reserve, and Alwar’s cultural identity will be showcased globally. The event is also expected to boost local tourism, the hospitality sector, guide services, and allied activities, thereby strengthening local livelihoods.

In line with the Fit India vision, the marathon will feature a 21 km half marathon, a 10 km run, a 5 km Shakti Run, and a 2 km Para Run. Youth, women, senior citizens, and specially-abled participants will take part equally, making the event a strong example of social inclusion.

Through the Alwar Tiger Marathon, the message will resonate once again: if tigers are protected, forests will be protected—and if forests are protected, the environment, tourism, and the future will all be secure.
